This poster in support of the miners was produced by Sheffield AYM to voice their support and solidarity with white working class communities.
‘In Sharrow, two families were brutally attacked. We knew the groups that had carried out the attacks. We initiated a campaign to mobilise the community and to try to isolate the racists…the local paper produced bill boards outside newsagents saying ‘Asian vigilantes take to the streets’. We were very concerned, we were a minority and we knew we had to build alliances. We produced these leaflets to be displayed in shops and community centres so that it was clear that there was solidarity with white working class communites. We used to take 2 to 3 minibuses to Orgreave.
